Many people today look for a more environmentally friendly or green alternative to a traditional funeral, taking comfort in the knowledge that every aspect has been carefully considered to minimise a funeral’s impact on the environment and encourage wildlife.
Locally, there are two locations where natural burials may take place, Tarnmoor Memorial Woodland in Skipton and Brocklands Woodland Burial near Settle.
An additional fee will be applied for outsized, specialist coffins. All third-party fees (disbursements) that we pay on the clients’ behalf to third-party providers such as cemeteries, crematoria, clergy, officiant, doctors, florists, etc, to be settled 48 hours prior to the date of the funeral.
What's included?
- 24-hour conveyance of the person into our care within a distance of 15 miles
- Providing personal care including washing, following instructions regarding make-up, hair-care, and dressing in their own clothes.
- Arranged appointment in our comfortable arranging room or a video call during normal office hours
- Help with paperwork, doctors, coroners & registry office
- Arranging the date and time for the burial and Tanmoor Memorial Woodland or Brocklands Woodland Burial
- Simple eco conscious cardboard coffin
- Hearse and bearers on the day of the funeral to convey the person directly to the burial ground
- Family chapel visit by appointment up to one hour during normal office hours
- Online administration of charitable donations and Funeral announcement on our website
- Dignity and respect to both you and your loved one by all our team

We regularly work at the local crematoria in Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Craven District Council and Leeds District Council covering Oakworth Crematorium, Nab Wood Crematorium, Scholemoor Crematorium. Skipton Crematorium and Lawnswood Crematorium.
We are able to arrange cremations, burials in other parts of the UK and repatriations from and to other countries.
