We will collect your personal data when you make a direct enquiry through our website or should we request that we use a testimonial on our site. The data collected through an enquiry will be used solely for the purpose of the enquiry. If we use client data as testimonial information, we will only display your name if you have given permission to do so. We will never ask for any more information than we need.

– Any details you choose to give us in an enquiry or estimate
– If you record your funeral wishes with us, the information described under “Funeral wishes you record with us” below

If you use the My Funeral Wishes form on our website, or give us a completed My Funeral Wishes booklet, we will keep your wishes on file so that we can carry them out when the time comes.

What it may include
As well as your name and contact details, you can tell us about your next of kin, your GP, any pets, funeral plans, life insurance, your will or Power of Attorney, and your wishes for your funeral. Some of this can be special category information, such as health details (for example a pacemaker or other implant) or your religious or philosophical beliefs.

Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use this information only to understand and carry out your funeral wishes, and to contact you or your next of kin about them. We rely on your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent, change your wishes or ask us to delete them at any time by contacting us.

Other people’s details
If you give us details of your next of kin, GP or anyone else, please let them know you have shared their details with us.

How we keep it
Your completed form is stored securely in our website system and emailed to us and to the email address you give, so that a copy is kept on your file. We do not record your IP address with these forms. Only our team can see your wishes. We do not share them with anyone else, except where needed to arrange your funeral (for example with a crematorium, cemetery, minister or celebrant) or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it
We keep your funeral wishes until they are needed, or until you ask us to change or remove them. Please let us know if your circumstances change.

In line with the UK GDPR, we do not use any personal data for any reason other than for the purpose it is given – in other words, if you make an enquiry to request a brochure, we will use your data solely for that purpose.
We do not sell, rent, trade or give away any personal data to third parties for any purpose without express consent.

When you contact us through this website, by telephone or in person, we process the personal information you give us so that we can respond to your enquiry and, where you ask us to, arrange our services. Our lawful bases are your consent (for example when you tick a box on a form, or accept optional cookies) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have made to us. If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was given, or as the law requires. From time to time we may update this policy; the latest version will always be on this page.
